Peru's Health Ministry on Thursday received a significant donation of 100,000 molecular test kits from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

"We particularly appreciate German cooperation. The presence of experts and their recommendations will be of great value in facing the pandemic," Deputy Public Health Minister Nancy Zerpa said.

Held in Lima, the delivery event was also attended by National Health Institute (INS) Chief Cesar Cabezas and German Ambassador to Peru Stefan Andreas Herzberg.

Researcher Felix Drexler and microbiologist Michael Nagel arrived in the capital city on Wednesday along with the molecular tests and laboratory materials donated by the German Government to its Peruvian counterpart.
